prenatal care

We offer full prenatal care from tests and lab work up through hearing baby’s heartbeat for the first time. We provide the highest quality of care and deliver evidence-based care by midwives that are attentive and partner with you with your goals. Your newly pregnant body has a lot of adapting to do, and we can help, not only by alleviating the sometimes uncomfortable symptoms of early pregnancy (nausea, fatigue, etc.) in a natural, holistic way, but also by educating you on relevant topics surrounding you and your baby’s health and development. During your prenatal appointment, you’ll learn all about diet and pregnancy-appropriate exercise to help maintain a healthy weight, vitamins and supplements, and the physical and emotional changes you can expect as your baby grows. Come January 2024, we will be expanding to SE MN 1st freestanding BirthCenter located in Kasson, MN. You can learn more about BirthCenters here: https://www.birthcenters.org/what-is-a-bc

WHAT TO EXPECT IN A PRENATAL VISIT

Full Circle recommends that you make an appointment for your first prenatal visit early in your pregnancy (by about 8-12 weeks from your first day of your last period). If you already started prenatal care, you may transfer your care to Full Circle any time during your pregnancy. Whether you have been pregnant in the past, or not, we can help you maximize your health and comfort during any stage of your pregnancy. During your prenatal appointments, we will monitor your physical and emotional health, your baby’s progress, and address any concerns you have along the way.

As your pregnancy progresses, we will offer appropriate tests, classes, tours and referrals for childbirth education. It is also very important to go over a number of relevant topics, such as maintaining a healthy diet, exercise, travel, having sex during pregnancy, and what types of physical changes to expect.

A pregnant body has a lot of adapting to do and sometimes symptoms accompany those changes.  We are experts in normal pregnancy. Sometimes symptoms that are intense are harmless and sometimes symptoms that are mild can be medically significant. We encourage phone calls and access to us through the medical record portal and our 24/7 Midwife Call line.

Full Circle BirthCenter will also offer prenatal genetic testing to help you and your family prepare for parenthood.
